What Do You Like Most?

Monday, August 25th, 2008

Recently, the question was put to me, “What two things do you like most about working at Evans Glass?” It didn’t take long for me to realize that the most exciting aspects of being on the team here at Evans are first, the awareness that together, we can do anything we set our hearts and minds to. We can increase the size of our company, lead flow, product assortment, physical space, employee count and incomes with the simple decision to do so. The only obstacle that stands between us and our goals is commitment. And commitment and positive attitude at Evans are as easily come upon as, well….coffee!  And, like coffee (for some of us!), they are essential to our success. That thought summed up the first thing that excited me about working here.

The second idea that raced to the forefront of my thoughts was the realization that at Evans Glass we have the rarest of all commodities: the people who believe that these things can and should be accomplished, coupled with the leadership that gets things done. I came to realize that a company with all these resources at its disposal, if lacking the vision and the will… well, I could be at any number of dead end jobs, wondering what it must be like to enjoy going to work. Stopping to sum up the pleasure of constantly anticipating good things, brought by working along side the finest team of professionals in the industry, made me understand just how fortunate I am to be here and now in this place and time.

Last year was truly amazing. I think we would all agree. More was accomplished at Evans than most of us even thought of, let alone thought possible. Yet growing from “Remodeling magazine’s Top 500  position #109 to the 38th largest remodeler in the country, to this years amazing 25th ranking, can only leave one anticipating even greater things in 2009. And I, for one, can’t wait!

Rafting Adventure!!

Monday, August 25th, 2008

On the eve of August 8, sixteen canvassers and their manager loaded up in separate vehicles along with approximately fifteen other guests.  They headed to  Maupin,Oregon for a weekend adventure filled with rafting on the Deshutes.  In the month of June, PCV 208 won a spiff that allowed them to take this unforgettable trip.  Along for the ride were the friends and family of these canvassers for a small price paid for by each individual canvasser.  It was a weekend full of adrenaline, excitement and memories that will last a lifetime.

From the Desk of the Seattle District Sales Manager…..

As most of you know, Evans Glass is always changing.  There has been a constant stream of change for the past two years and these changes are always for the better.

We have introduced multiple lenders, which leads to faster pay.  We have a more involved training program, which leads to increased confidence and increased sales.  We have an improved product, which leads to more referrals.  After improving all these areas of our business, we grew.  As a result of our growth spurt, we needed additional space.  This led to the opening of the Federal Way Location.

Evans Glass now occupies a location that is large enough to house all of our departments.  All of Evans Glass employees, in Washington are now back under one roof.    All of our resources are back in one centralized location allowing Evans Glass to continue to grow and provide the Northwest with quality windows.  We are and will continue to be the best Window Company in the Pacific NW.

The Evans Glass and Eurocraft Difference!!!

Friday, August 8th, 2008

The Evans Glass and Eurocraft Difference!!!

Eurocraft has a structural foam spacer with molecular bonding to the glass pack.

(Which is a significant improvement over the aluminum spacer)

Eurocraft windows have steel reinforced meeting rails and a titanium alloy, I-beam reinforced header.

(Which is recommended by industry experts)

Eurocraft has an acrylic enhanced PVC formula vs. the plasticized industry standard.

The acrylic enhanced PVC formula significantly reduces expansion and retraction and is non-reactive to UV radiation.

Eurocraft has a combined Krypton and Argon gas charge which provides for greater

energy efficiency.

No nailing fin is required.

Eurocraft windows are specifically designed for the replacement market.

Eurocraft is the ONLY, US made vinyl window approved for use in both Canada and Europe.

Eurocraft has PPG ThermalpermE UV protection incorporated into the molten glass.

(Most others are sprayed or painted on)

Our Glazing strip is on the inside of the window, which enhances security.

Our ribbed reinforced frame for greater structural strength.

Allerguard Microban, anti-microbial weather stripping.

Eurocraft is the only US made window with paintable frames.

Eurocraft has Double Cam locks vs. single cam locks.

We offer Double strength 3/16” Float Glass.

Surgical Stainless steel roller wheels on our sliding windows.

(Which will not rust or break)

At Evans Glass, we have addressed the 3 main reasons that energy efficient windows fail…

 Aluminum Spacer

Expansion and Contraction of frame due to Plasticized PVC formulas

Improper Installation

We bring to you, a Home Owner, the Eurocraft window system.

Eurocraft is a superior choice for your Home

If,

comfort, beauty and saving money through energy efficiency are important to you.
