Lead from the front

Friday, February 27th, 2009

After a record personal weekend in Portland sales, our Sales managers continue to lead from the front, selling twice a day, 2 days in a row… Showing not only that it can be done, but that we will never ask the reps to do anything we are unable or unwilling to do ourselves.

Portland Jobfair

Friday, February 27th, 2009

Today, our District Sales Manager, Cory Brown and I ran a booth at the Portland Job Fair.

Response was nearly overwhelming. We ran out of applications and had to have our office staff bring us more. We are looking forward to a great group of interviews within the next week.

It is amazing to me that in this economy of high unemployment, Evans Glass is hiring, and reps are making money. When other companies are laying people off, we are ramping up…and sales are actually increasing.

Kudos to the Greeters

Friday, February 27th, 2009

Its been a great week so far for the Home shows. We had the Portland Spring Home and Garden Show and the turn out was good. Also the Oregon Manufactured Home show produced a lot of entries. We had a great week and thank you to my greeters who made the difference. Kudos to all of you.

Allerguard

Friday, February 27th, 2009

Evan’s Glass’s windows come with so many features that set us apart from other window companies don’t provide. One of the great features is Allerguard. Allerguard weatherstipping barrier kills allergy-aggravating microparticles of pollen, fungi, mold, dust, dirt and bacteria. It also helps prevent the infiltration of exterior odors and gases such as carbon monoxide. The Microban ingredient used in Allerguard is registered with the EPA and is incorporated into several medical devices which have been registered with the FDA, confirming it’s proven and trusted effectiveness.

Energy

Friday, February 27th, 2009

Here at Evans Glass energy takes on several meanings. It is what we help our customers to save and what we use and pay the electric company for. We, like many Americans and American companies are trying to conserve both in these hard economic times. But there is another type of energy that we here are glad to spend with the reckless abandon of the 1980’s. That is the energy our canvassers provide to potential customers each and every day on our stage, oops, I mean their porch.

This energy is cheap, doesn’t use fossil fuels, won’t hurt the environment by its use and is completely 100% replenishable. The drive and motivation our crews bring with them to the door is unmatched in my humble opinion to that of any other single organization I have worked with or for. We are truly excited each time to provide the best presentation we possibly can and we are driven to give you the opportunity that we honestly believe could change your lives. And when efforts come to results we are repaid that energy in enthusiasm.

So thank you, Mr. Homeowner / Evans Glass customer for contributing to the first and best Evans glass “green” product!

Learning

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

I am learning a lot of new tricks of the trade. Besides the economy there are a lot of things that I never encountered before as a manager. Everyday it seems I am learning something new.

Hi my name is Lizette Lopez.  I am the new customer service representative and I would like to say that I am very happy to work here.  The atmosphere is awesome and felt like home from the very first day.  I would like to thank Joel and Peter for training me and preparing me with helpful tools to succeed in my job.

Evans Glass is a great place to work.

Getting the word out!

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

We did a great job of getting the word out about our windows at the Flower and Garden Show this weekend.  Go greeters!

Slider

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

I talked to a lady today who already had several of our windows.  She was so excited to see me, she pulled me through the house to show me the slider we sold her.  It was wider than average and the opening had been twisted which had made finding a company that would replace it hard to find.  She couldn’t stop telling me how happy she was that there are still companies like us out there.
