Greeter News

this Monday was a good start to the week for the Greeter department. We had our Portland Remodeling show and the Better Living show in Portland. Both shows were a success and the enthusiasm of the crowd was awesome. People are feeling that Spring has fully sprung into action and the daffodils are blooming. I have to say I am quite excited about this home show season. Its going to be a very busy year for all Evans Glass Greeters and Home Show Demonstrators. I want to say thank you to all of the employees as a whole for coming together and making Evans Glass continue to be the most wonderful company to work for!

What a great evening was had by all at the Pacesetters Seattle awards dinner Saturday evening at Buca de Bepo’s.  Winners attending from the Home Show staff were: Marlene Arnot, Linda Joy Adam, KC Dunn and Ron and Carol Johnson.  Attending from the Store Greeter staff were: Jill Kelly,  Nancy Burrington, and Mary Beth Marx.

 

 

 

Huge Success

This last weekend we attended the Better Living Show and the Portland Renovation and Remodeling Show!!!  Luckily we were able to meet tons of new homeowners and spread the word about our amazing products!  These were both a huge success and are so excited for the up and coming events!

The admin department has been working extremely hard trying to jobs processed as quickly as possible. Recently, a marketing manager bet us here in admin a pizza lunch we could not get a certain amount of jobs processed for the month of February. Today we got our pizza party. Ahh, the sweet taste of success.

Window Maintenance

Today I am going to write about window maintenance.  Being in customer service, I receive a lot of calls regarding caulking issues.  One importing thing to know about caulking (I didn’t know before working here) is that throughout time, caulking may shrink, crack, and peal off mostly due to changing weather conditions. It is important to check the caulking on your windows at least once a year to ensure that the caulking is still in good conditions.  Most of the damage to and around the windows can be prevented by keeping up the maintenance of the windows.  I don’t think that most people know this information.  Neglect to the windows can cost you time and money and I don’t think anyone has time or money to spare.  

Sillguard

Our French and Entry doors come with Sillguard. This is basically a plastic cover that protects the sill from getting scratched from job site debris. Once the door is installed you can remove the plastic Sillguard revealing a clean, defect free sill.

helpful new materials

We’ve added some helpful new materials to the information packet the homeowner receives at the time of their installation.  One section covers helpful tips on reducing excess moisture in the home.  This is really handy in the wintertime when the temperature difference between the inside and outside of house makes condensation more noticeable.   

New and Old Faces

Our canvass department is constantly growing and changing.  I love seeing new faces, and old, all coming together as one.  We are really a team, and believe in helping one another through every thing.  The teams are meshing well, and the numbers prove that.  We are still looking for a couple of lucky people to join our team.  Check out our website for information on how to apply, and look forward to our up coming job fair!!  It is going to be exciting!!
