Today I was out there walking with the team, keeping them motivated, and happy. They all had great attitudes. Canvassing is a tough process, however, I know that we can come together as a team and we will succeed. A few changes will make us stronger than we all ready are, and we will be the best.
The summer is here. The weather is nice, and hot. I am so excited to see what we can do in the “home improvement” months. Evans Glass has always lead the way, and this year is no different. Watch for all of the great things to come. The windows and doors are wonderful, but watch out for our new siding and gutters. Top of the line all the way that is how Evans Glass does business.
Starting from the bottom can be rough at times. It can also be fun watching a new team grow, watching your hard work change your team for the better.
Finally, Spring is here! My favorite time of year; finally homeowners have no fear replacing their windows. Evans Glass is coming to a neighborhood near you, with smiles on our face and going different places on a daily basis.
As part of our 2009 marketing program at Evans Glass, we search for homes that best meet our criteria to qualify for our Window Makeover project. Part of being selected to receive the prize of installed windows as a homeowner, is to allow us to photograph the home before and after the project is installed. Our purpose is promotional, to show the dramatic difference new Eurocraft windows make in both the appearance of a home as well as the energy efficiency that can be achieved when we change out a home’s original windows to the highly efficient Eurocraft® window. Our Home Renewal Committee, an arm of our Marketing Department at Evans Glass has selected the home of Toni Shaw in Wenatchee WA to receive the Window Makeover of up to 10 windows and a sliding glass door replaced and installed by Evans Glass. Congratulations Mrs. Shaw!

This year has been one of our busiest years ever and all our jobs are getting done really quickly. This coming Tuesday we are moving our old files to an outside storage unit so we can have room for all the new files for this year. One of my peers has been working extremely hard trying to get the storage space all worked out so we can have our new off-site storage. Hopefully after Tuesday we’ll have a lot more room in our office!
In effort to operate in more environmentally friendly fashion we are looking to start a transportation program to increase bus ridership and save our employees money. We currently are looking at working with Metro to reduce the cost of monthly passes for our employees and to encourage more carpooling and other alternates to single occupancy vehicles. We hope to roll this program out in August.
Next week I get to go on an installation with some of our installers. I am really excited because I get first hand experience of how our windows are installed. This will increase my knowledge about window installation and it will help me understand what the customer are referring too when they call for a service. Looking forward to working with our installers and learning new things.
